Jer. 35:6 ---7 But they said, We will drink no wine: for Jonadab the son of Rechab our father commanded us, saying, Ye shall drink no wine, neither ye, nor your sons for ever: Neither shall ye build house, nor sow seed, nor plant vineyard, nor have any: but all your days ye shall dwell in tents; that ye may live many days in the land where ye be strangers.
I believe strongly in my heart that this passage is speaking about the Fulani people , in spite of all the money they make in their live stock business they live in tents and do not indulge in expensive drink parties or even live in cities but in tents. It is even clear according to the bible that they do not have a vine yard of their own that is they not have a particular land of their own.. Jer. 35:9--- 10 Nor to build houses for us to dwell in: neither have we vineyard, nor field, nor seed: But we have dwelt in tents, and have obeyed, and done according to all that Jonadab our father commanded us. Now to us the Igbos I have said it before and I am saying it again it is time you come out of those Pagan churches and worship the only true God[ Chukwu okike] because I believe strongly in my heart that we the Igbos are the true Hebrews and that God may be using our brothers the Fulani to turn us back to our God, Here is what the word of God is saying to us Jer. 35:15 I have sent also unto you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, Return ye now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not after other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but ye have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto me. In my book Cosmic conflicts I have tried to make us understand that there is no war between US and Russia, or China, Black and white, Hausa and Igbo, etc. as they want us to think and believe. The battle is spiritual and the word of God is revealing these things to His people. The activities of these Fulani across the country is not accidental I strongly believe in my heart it is a wake up call for us especially the Igbos to return back to our God the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob the holy one of Israel. But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
Now listen to what God promised the sons of Rechabites [ which I believe to be Fulani] for obeying the word of their father Jer. 35:18-- 19 And Jeremiah said unto the house of the Rechabites, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Because ye have obeyed the commandment of Jonadab your father, and kept all his precepts, and done according unto all that he hath commanded you:
Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Jonadab the son of Rechab shall not want a man to stand before me for ever.
Now what does that mean? It means that they will continue to have men or warriors to fight for them.
